Pinup by Liz 2015 - a look back

2015 was an amazing year for Pinup by Liz! So many amazing things happened and I feel like we can't officially begin 2016 till I take a look back at some of the highlights of 2015!
First, we moved into the studio at the beginning of the year! After years of shooting in a shared studio space, we were so happy to have a place of our very own. Plus the awesome location right in the Deco District of Downtown Tulsa is a big bonus! With a lot of hard work, we took the space from this:
To this!

We were published over 50 times in 2015, including local, national, and international publications.  We also had images published on the covers of 7 pin up magazines. Here are a few.

In addition to our super awesome studio, we also shot on-location at many really cool places.  Like Tulsa's Retro Den,
A beautiful mid-century modern styled home in Tulsa
Teaze Dance Studio in Oklahoma City

Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender

Stray Kat 500 in Dewey, OK
Tulsa Obscura
Tulsa's Rock n Roll Prom

And the beautiful Campbell Hotel on Route 66 in Tulsa, OK

We had some really fun guests at the studio, like Cherry Dollface

Katty Delux and Devyn Beth of Swoon Makeup and Hair

Racheal Major of Atomic Photography

I was honored to be asked to organize, guest judge, or shoot multiple pin up contests.  Such as the Route 66 Cruisers Car Club Pinup Contest in Claremore, Ok, above

And the Stray Kat 500 Pinup contest, below

The Safari Joe Hot Rods and Reptiles pin up contest in Adair, OK
The Hemmings Motor News Great Race stop in Claremore, OK
Nitro Nationals at Tulsa Raceway Park
And the Admiral Twin Goes Pink pin up contest in Tulsa, OK

I was also honored to take some promotional shots for several brands, from Steve Cluck's I Heart Tulsa line

To Kawaii Buddies jewelry
And Frankendoll Co!

We also shot on some amazing sets, I met some new clients who became friends, I shot some wonderful burlesque and bellydance events, we had about a million laughs during photo shoots at the studio and so much more. As you see, 2015 was really great and 2016 has some pretty darn big shoes to fill!  I can't wait to see what the new year brings for us!
